जनपद – अम्बेडकर नगर (अकबरपुर) व आजमगढ़ जिला मुख्यालयों के मध्य भाग में बसखारी बाजार है | जो लगभग 25 किलोमीटर पूरब दिशा में तथा आजमगढ़ मुख्यालय से लगभग 65 किलोमीटर पश्चिम दिशा की दूरी पर स्थित है|
बसखारी बाजार से – जलालपुर मुख्य मार्ग पर लगभग 4 किलोमीटर दक्षिण में किछौछा नामक नगर स्थित है । जो अक्षांश (Latitude)- 26.430700 , देशान्तर (Longitude)- 82.766502 गोलार्ध पर स्थित है । वर्तमान समय में नगर पंचायत है, जिसे ‘अशरफपुर किछौछा’ नाम से भी जाना जाता है ।
